The people who make up the chapter
ACI Ottawa is a student chapter, which means it is rebuilt every year by whoever shows up. Here is how membership works and who is currently running it.
Who can join
Any student at the University of Ottawa, in any programme and any year. Civil engineering is the obvious route in, but the chapter is not restricted to it — architecture, materials science, environmental engineering, and business students have all found something useful here.
There is no prerequisite course and no expectation that you already know the material. Most people arrive at their first seminar knowing very little about concrete beyond that it is grey and it sets.
Industry professionals and alumni are welcome at chapter events too. If you want to speak, host a site visit, or mentor a competition team, get in touch rather than filling in the student membership form.

Put your name down for a competition team, a poster slot, or an executive role when nominations open.
